Media ratings typically track consumer exposure to a single medium, whether TV, radio or online. Integrated Media Measurement wants to offer a more complete picture of an individual’s media consumptions via tracking software installed in the cellphones of the company’s 4,900 participants, which picks up code embedded in the audio of ads that appear on TV, radio, online, in movie theaters and elsewhere.

Publishers Warned of Future Consumer Revolt Against Paper
On top of all its other current woes, the U.S. magazine business needs to be worried about a consumer backlash against paper-based publishing products. That was the message delivered to last week’s American Magazine Conference by Canadian Forest Products Association President Avrim Lazar. He predicted that environmentally-minded Americans will increasingly focus on the connection between the paper-making industry and the problem of global climate change.
